Role Overview
Our HGV Class 1 Drivers take on a variety of long-distance and regional routes, moving general haulage freight safely and on time. Based in Pershore, you’ll be driving modern articulated vehicles across the UK, with a focus on professional standards and customer satisfaction.
Core Responsibilities
Deliveries & Collections

Carry out daily vehicle inspections.

Maintain vehicle cleanliness and report any faults.
Vehicle Care
-
Work closely with the transport office for route planning.

Ensure all paperwork is completed accurately and returned on time.
Communication
-
Transport goods nationwide in a Class 1 (artic) vehicle.

Complete time-critical and scheduled deliveries.

Adhere to all road safety regulations and company procedures.
Skills & Experience

Current Class 1 (Category C+E) licence.

Driver CPC qualification card.

Ability to handle long-distance routes.

Excellent time management and route planning skills.

Strong communication and customer service.
A Day in the Life
Early Start – Loading & Checks
Complete vehicle safety checks, review your delivery manifest, and get your load secured before heading out.
On the Road – Long & Regional Routes
Spend most of the day on the road, with breaks at service stops. Deliver to a mix of distribution centres, customer sites, and industrial locations.
Nights Out – When Required
For multi-day runs, you’ll park up at a safe overnight location and claim your night-out allowance.
Returning to Base
End your run by returning to the depot, handing in paperwork, and debriefing with the transport office.

Class 1 drivers handle a variety of routes, from local to nationwide, with some nights out depending on schedule. The role offers variety, autonomy, and the backing of a professional, award-winning haulage team.
