Role Overview
A Warehouse Operative keeps our warehouse running smoothly — making sure goods are received, stored, and dispatched safely, accurately, and on time.
From unloading deliveries to building pallets for shipment, they ensure every item is handled with care and efficiency.
Core Responsibilities
Goods In & Out

Direct vehicle movements (including Banksman duties)

Load/unload freight in line with H&S procedures

Check goods against delivery paperwork
Stock Management

Book items into correct storage locations

Pick orders (full pallet or case quantities)

Build secure pallets and attach correct paperwork

Conduct regular stock counts
Operational Support

Work with office team to prioritise orders

Report damaged goods promptly
-
Maintain a safe, organised workspace
Skills & Experience
-
Knowledge of warehouse operations and safety

Strong problem-solving skills

Attention to detail in a fast-paced setting

Experience with inventory control systems
-
Forklift licences (Counterbalance, Reach, or Bendi) preferred, dependant on requirements

Start of Shift

Briefing on daily priorities

Equipment safety checks
Morning - Goods In

Direct vehicles, unload deliveries

Check goods and book into system
Midday - Pick & Packing

Pick orders, build pallets, label correctly
Afternoon - Stock Counts

Inventory checks, resolve discrepancies
End of Shift

Load outbound vehicles

Tidy warehouse and store equipment

This is a physical, hands-on role in a busy warehouse setting.
It involves manual handling, equipment operation, and teamwork with office staff to meet daily targets. The pace is fast, but the atmosphere is collaborative and safety-focused.
